A Better Fence Company is a highly rated fence company serving Frisco, TX. The City of Frisco was named after the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway, which was a company that felt the community had done right by them. While we may not be able to have a city named after us, at A Better Fence Company, we strive to leave the same lasting impression as a company that does right by our community. Not only do we aim to offer better customer service and better fences, we like to give back to our community through programs such as our veteran outreach program (read about it here..).
We are a local Frisco Fence Company, dedicated to doing it better! Contractors have gotten a bad reputation over the years for being shady and unreliable, and most homeowners do not look forward to dealing with them. At A Better Fence Company, we want to be the fence company in Frisco that is known for being reliable, honest, and generally not a hassle to deal with. Our goal is to not only offer wood fences and metal fences of the highest quality to the residents of Frisco, but also to offer a better fence installation experience and better customer service.
“A Better Fence Company is wonderful to work with. We love the fact that they hire veterans and are superbly professional. We are having the premium cedar fence installed and the work is top quality! Highly recommend A Better Fence Company.”
“I would highly recommend A Better Fence Company! Work was done as communicated, and they cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. Very pleased with their job!”
“A Better Fence Company, from the very beginning was top notch to work with; extremely organized and completely transparent from the bidding process all the way through the facilitation in building our fence. This past week the weather was uncooperative, so They went above and beyond for my fiancé and I and stayed until 8:30 pm to ensure they could finish the next morning. We opted for the 8-foot premium cedar privacy fence with trim and corbels. The fence looks absolutely beautiful and is completely solid, not to mention how good it smells with its western red cedar wood! A Better Fence Company, sincerely cares about their customers which is such a refreshing change from previous experiences we have had. From the team being so polite and hardworking to the quality, The Better Fence Company is without a doubt the best fence company to hire!”

Frisco Wood Fence Options
Premium Privacy Cedar Fence
This is our top-of-the-line fence and a very popular style with homeowners of Frisco. Our board-on-board fence offers the most privacy and security for your backyard. The overlapping pickets allow no visibility between pickets. Our Premium Privacy Fence is the sturdiest fence style available, and has unlimited options for customization available. Although it is a premium fence, when you choose A Better Fence Company, you can expect to pay less for this fence style.
Our most popular option, this fence offers style, strength, durability, and the most value for the cost. If you plan to stay in your home for many years, and want a fence that will not only last many years, but also look new for longer, then this is the wood fence for you!
Our Value Cedar Fence is a great option for homeowners who want the quality, durability, and unmatched longevity of a cedar fence, but don’t want to pay the higher cost for a premium cedar fence. Learn More
What is the Difference Between Our Value Cedar and Our Premium Cedar Fence?
The main difference is that Our Value Cedar Fence is built using #2 grade Western Red Cedar, and our Premium Cedar Fence is built using #1 grade Western Red Cedar. Cedar that is graded #1 comes from closer to the heart of the tree than #2, and has fewer and smaller knots. The knots that it has are “quality knots”, meaning that they are less likely to fall out and become holes in your fence. There will be fewer blemishes and fewer variations in color with #1 grade cedar. #2 grade cedar will have many small knots and also large knots and blemishes. Basic Wood Fence
We understand that not all homeowners of Frisco are looking for an extremely custom and fancy fence. Some want the cheapest option that will solve their problem. We have designed our Basic Wood Fence homeowners who simply need a new fence for functionality and low cost. This fence is builder grade and built with pine pickets and rails instead of cedar.
Want to customize your fence and make it unique? Make your fence the talk of the neighborhood with the following upgrade options! Choose just one option, or combine several for a long-lasting customized fence.
Our Board on Board Wood Privacy fences come standard with the cedar side trim. The 2 x 6 or 2 x 8 cedar top cap is an available upgrade option, which provides the fence with a decorative finish. The top cap also adds even more sturdiness and stability, providing additional longevity to your fence, although many customers choose this option for the design and curb appeal that the top cap adds to the fence. Additionally, adding a cap to the top of the fence prevents water from getting down inside the overlapping pickets.
Boxed Posts
Although metal posts are recommended (and widely popular) for the construction of both residential and commercial fences in Frisco, due to the weather and the soil here, it is a concept that is unique to our area. Many homeowners who move to Frisco from other states are not familiar with metal posts, and prefer the look of the traditional wood posts. For this reason, we offer boxed posts as an option for homeowners who prefer the traditional wood post look. Boxed Posts are metal posts that are “boxed in” on three sides, hiding the metal posts from view while still providing the necessary support for a long lasting fence in Frisco. Boxed posts are available as an upgrade, and can be plain as seen below, or built with “fluted” wood for an even more decorative look as shown above. When you choose boxed posts, both sides of the fence have a finished look, so there is no need to debate with neighbors about which side of the fence will face in or out.
Stacked Trim
Our privacy wood fences are built standard with the side trim. Additional, decorative trim can be added for a tiered finish. This is a very popular option among our customers, especially in conjunction with the top cap as shown below.
Arched Trim & Corbels
Arched trim is an upgrade option that we offer to that gives our customers to customize their fence and give it a unique finish. Corbels come in many shapes and sizes, and decorative metal ornaments can be added such as stars, initials, or other decals offering a truly unique and personalized wood fence.
Fence Ornaments & Windows
A decorative ornament can set your fence apart from other fences. Metal ornaments are typically added to gates, but can also be added to a fence to create a window. Fence windows are convenient for dog owners, because sometimes letting your dog see out of the fence will satisfy his curiosity reducing his desire to dig out or jump over the fence. If you want to maintain complete privacy for your backyard, ornaments can be attached to the fence and framed out without the window behind it.
Metal Fences offer a protective enclosure with a spacious feel. From basic flat top and bottom, to extravagant and decorative, we have many options available to fit your budget and style. Each piece is pretreated with a powder coated finish. Our metal fences are virtually maintenance free, which gives them an advantage over traditional wood fences.
Even the most basic handrail will completely transform the look of your home. Our custom-made and installed handrails, stairway railings, pool safety rails and balcony railings, are available in many different styles and the options for customization are limitless!
Automatic Driveway Gates are available in many custom designs and add curb appeal to your home. The automatic driveway gates that we custom build at A Better Fence Company are attractive and designed to not only add curb appeal to your home, they also provide privacy, security, and ease of access. Driveway Gates are available with many different options including wood or metal, swing or sliding, and solar or electric.
